I had our sailmaker, Vermont Sailing Partners, sew a piece of clear vinyl strip along the underside of the chafe strip on the dodger. This created a clear sleeve through which I pulled a strip of tri-color LED tape. The LEDS are controlled with a self-designed electronics box that dials up any color, like bright white, bright blue, dim red, or a color chase that run through all the colors over a period of a few minutes.
